A Summer Hosting Series Rooted in Cozy Gatherings & Intentional Living.

There is something special about summertime gatherings.
Maybe it is the longer evenings, warm breezes, glowing candlelight, fresh flowers from the garden, or the way conversation seems to linger a little longer around the table. Summer has a way of inviting us to slow down and savor moments we often rush through the rest of the year.
Lately, I have found myself craving more intentional living. Not necessarily elaborate or picture perfect moments, but meaningful ones. Moments where phones are set aside, dinner is shared slowly, laughter fills the air, and people feel welcomed and comfortable the moment they arrive.
That is the heart behind the new Summer at The Lavender Hazel hosting series.
This series was created to inspire simple but beautiful summer gatherings centered around connection, comfort, hospitality, and slowing down enough to enjoy the season. Whether it is hosting a girls’ night on the patio, preparing a fresh summer dinner for your family, serving cocktails, or simply creating a warm and inviting atmosphere at home, my hope is to encourage intentional moments that bring peace and joy into everyday life.
One thing I have learned is that hospitality does not need to be complicated to be meaningful.
A thoughtfully prepared meal.Fresh herbs on the table.Soft music playing in the background.Candles flickering as the sun sets.A refreshing cocktail poured over ice.Simple moments often become the ones we remember most.
Throughout this summer series, I will be sharing:
Fresh seasonal recipes
Summer cocktails
Hosting inspiration
Cozy table settings
Girls’ night ideas
Patio dinner inspiration
Simple entertaining tips
Garden-inspired meals
Seasonal encouragement
The first dinner in the series may already be one of my favorites: Lemon Herb Salmon with Creamy Dill Yogurt Sauce paired with a refreshing White Linen Cocktail. It perfectly captures the feeling I want this series to embody, fresh, elegant, relaxed, and welcoming.
At its core, The Lavender Hazel has always been about creating comfort and encouragement in everyday life. While much of that comes through devotionals and faith based writing, I also believe there is something deeply meaningful about gathering around a table with the people we love.Food nourishes more than our bodies.Hospitality creates connection. And slowing down reminds us to appreciate the life God has placed right in front of us.
My hope is that this series encourages you to romanticize ordinary evenings a little more this summer. Light the candle. Use the pretty dishes. Make the cocktail. Invite the friend over. Sit
outside longer. Enjoy the meal slowly.
The little moments matter more than we realize.
Welcome to Summer at The Lavender Hazel.
