Welcome to The Lavender Hazel
The Lavender Hazel was created as a peaceful place for faith-filled encouragement, honest reflections, and reminders that God is present in every season. Whether you are walking through fear, waiting, change, or uncertainty, you are not alone.

Read My Story
Hi, I’m Megan.
I’m a business owner, writer, creative soul, animal lover, and follower of Jesus who is learning to embrace the beauty of new seasons and quieter moments.
For many years, my life has centered around caring for others. I own a company that supports individuals with developmental disabilities, and compassion and service have deeply shaped who I am. I’m also a proud mom to an amazing son who recently got married, and my mom and I now share a home where we continue caring for and supporting one another through life’s changing seasons.
As life shifted and I entered an unexpected season of rediscovery, I found myself longing for something creative, peaceful, and life giving; a place where faith, encouragement, beauty, and honesty could all exist together.
Around that same time, the Lord unexpectedly brought a tiny tortoiseshell kitten into my life. What may have seemed small to others felt deeply meaningful to me. In a season filled with transition, uncertainty, and rebuilding, she became a gentle reminder that God often sends comfort, joy, and healing in the most unexpected ways.
That little kitten became part of the inspiration behind The Lavender Hazel.
This space was created to encourage women walking through fear, change, waiting, uncertainty, healing, and growth. I love writing, design, cooking, home projects, gardening, cozy spaces, and finding beauty in everyday life.
More than anything, I love reminding people that God is still present in the ordinary moments and difficult seasons alike. I don’t pretend to have everything figured out, and I still sometimes struggle with boldly sharing my faith. But I’ve learned that God often works through imperfect people, quiet moments, and simple acts of encouragement.
My hope is that The Lavender Hazel feels like a peaceful place to rest, reflect, grow, and be reminded that you are never alone.
I’m so glad you’re here.
