6 Stylish Outfits for a Casual Thanksgiving Dinner

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. There's something wonderful about gathering with family and friends, enjoying delicious food, and slowing down long enough to appreciate the little things.
But there's always that familiar question: What am I going to wear?
I love putting together outfits that feel polished and feminine without sacrificing comfort. After all, Thanksgiving usually involves plenty of time around the dinner table, a little cooking, and perhaps an extra helping of dessert!
This year, I've put together six Thanksgiving outfit ideas that combine classic pieces, cozy textures, beautiful autumn colors, and a few affordable finds. Whether you're hosting dinner, visiting family, or enjoying a relaxed holiday at home, there's something here for every occasion.
And the best part? These are pieces you can wear long after Thanksgiving is over.

Look 1: Classic & Polished
CeCe navy bow-detail sweater, J.Crew classic wide-leg jeans, Ashley Bennett loafers, chunky suede belt, diamond studs, and a gold layered necklace. You could certainly go with a heeled boot if you are looking for a little more height.
The bow detail makes this simple jeans-and-sweater combination feel special. Perfect for a more traditional Thanksgiving dinner.
Look 2: Rich & Sophisticated
CeCe wine ribbon-appliqué sweater, J.Crew Factory Ella cropped wide-leg pants, TOMS chocolate brown Marie loafers, wide suede belt, and gold drop earrings.
Burgundy and cream are one of my favorite autumn color combinations. The cropped pants and loafers make this elegant without feeling overdressed.

Look 3: Classic Layers
J.Crew Factory wool-blend A-line mini skirt, wool-blend boyfriend sweater, chambray ruffle shirt, Kelly & Katie Shya riding boots, and delicate gold drop earrings. This sweater comes in a few other color choices that would be great for this look. The burgundy Ink and Heather Loden would be gorgeous as well.
This one has a distinctly English countryside feel. I love the combination of wool, chambray, plaid, and riding boots.
Look 4: Effortless Everyday
Scenario navy striped cardigan with patch pockets, medium-wash bootcut jeans, and kitten-heel faux leather booties.
Proof that you don't have to spend a fortune to look put together. The striped cardigan is a piece you'll reach for all season.

Look 5: Cozy Countryside Charm
Trendy Queen Cream cable-knit sweater, Eddoyee Olive Green cropped wide-leg pants, Adidas VL Court 3.0 sneakers, and Michael Kors Bradshaw watch. The Michael Kors watch is the splurge, but you can certainly find this same chunky gold watch look at a more affordable price.
The cream sweater softens the olive green trousers, while the sneakers make it ideal for a casual family gathering.
Look 6: Warm Autumn Tones
Trendy Queen nutmeg cable-knit sweater, Eddoyee khaki cropped wide-leg pants, Adidas VL Court 3.0 sneakers, and Michael Kors Bradshaw watch.
Nutmeg and khaki create a lovely tonal outfit. Add a structured leather tote or gold accessories to give it a more finished appearance.

A Little Thanksgiving Style Inspiration
One thing I've learned about getting dressed is that feeling comfortable and looking put together don't have to be mutually exclusive. Sometimes all it takes is a beautiful sweater, a favorite pair of jeans, and a few thoughtfully chosen accessories.
Whether your Thanksgiving plans involve cooking all morning, traveling to see family, or simply enjoying a quiet afternoon around the table, I hope these looks inspire you to put together something that makes you feel wonderful.
